For over 16 years, Dave’s House has been dedicated to its mission of ending homelessness for adults with serious mental illness—providing permanent housing, mental health support, and a path to stability. With our current residences in Orange County, we’ve seen firsthand the power of safe, supportive housing to transform lives. Now, we’re expanding that impact with the creation of our first multi-unit Residential Community in Central Florida. Our annual fundraising event “Dave’s House Party” fuels this mission.

Join us for Dave’s House Party, our most important night of the year, raising crucial funds to fuel our mission of providing permanent supportive housing for adults with serious mental illness. This year’s theme, Mission Possible, sets the stage for an inspiring evening on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Sheraton Orlando North from 6 PM to 10 PM. The evening kicks off with Mission Launch Hour—a lively welcome reception featuring locally inspired bites, a hosted bar, mission engagement stations, photo ops, and our Auction Zone. Next we move to the ballroom, during Mission in Focus, guests will enjoy a chef-curated dinner while learning about Dave’s House’s impactful work, including an update on new multi unit residential community, and honoring the 2025 Dr. Joel C. Hunter Legacy Award recipient. Finally, we’ll wrap with Operation: Afterglow, a celebration filled with sweet treats and lively libations, and one last chance to bid before the Auction Zone closes at 8:30 PM.

6:00 – 7:00 PM | Mission Launch Hour
Kick off your assignment in style during Mission Launch Hour, where you’ll gather intel and fuel up for the mission ahead. Enjoy locally inspired bites crafted by the award-winning Executive Chef of the Sheraton Orlando North, along with a hosted bar featuring signature cocktails. This is your time to connect with fellow agents, visit mission engagement tables, explore our Auction Zone (closes at 8:30pm) . Be sure to visit our Mission Briefing Tables, where you’ll discover how your support is helping us accomplish our greatest mission yet.

7:00 – 8:00 PM | Mission in Focus
Next all agents report to the ballroom, for briefing on into the impactful work of Dave’s House. Hear inspiring stories, preview the vision for our first Residential Community in Sanford, and celebrate this year’s recipient of the Dr. Joel C. Hunter Legacy Award. As the mission unfolds, you’ll enjoy a multi-course, chef-curated dinner—a flavorful showcase prepared by the Sheraton Orlando North’s award-winning culinary team.

8:00 – 10:00 PM | Operation: Afterglow
End the evening on a high note! Savor indulgent dessert tastings, hit the dance floor, and enjoy more fun surprises as we toast to a night of possibility, progress, and purpose. Still time to visit the Auction Zone, it closes at 8:30pm

Dr. Joel C. Hunter Legacy Award

The Dr. Joel C. Hunter Legacy Award honors individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to mental health advocacy, focusing on advancing health equity and addressing social determinants of health. Established in 2023 by Dave's House, this annual award celebrates leaders who have significantly impacted efforts to end homelessness and support those with serious mental illnesses.

Michael Griffin receives the 2024 Dr. Joel C. Hunter Leagacy Award. The Vice President of Advocacy and Public Policy at AdventHealth, Michael has demonstrated exceptional dedication to mental health advocacy, particularly in advancing health equity and addressing the social determinants of health. His leadership has profoundly impacted both AdventHealth and our Central Florida community.
