  • A seasoned leader with extensive expertise in Fund Development, Public Relations, Branding, and Organizational Management, Ellen has successfully driven nonprofit growth strategies, including program development, revenue generation, and community partnerships, all with a strong commitment to improving lives.

    At Dave's House, Ellen's leadership is marked by her strategic vision and focus on service, growth, and financial stability. She has a proven ability to build partnerships, enhance brand awareness, and secure critical funding, ensuring the organization's continued impact. Her dedication to staff and board development fosters a strong and empowered team.

    Ellen was recognized as one of Orlando Magazine's 2021 Women of the Year. With over five years of experience as Principal at McLaughlin O'Connor Consulting, she has helped local nonprofits execute growth plans. Before this, she served as CEO of the Apopka Family Learning Center, providing essential services to low-income and ESL families.

    Her background includes roles on both sides of the nonprofit funding table, from Marketing Manager with the McCormick Tribune Foundation to volunteer Board President. She has also held senior management positions with major media companies like Tribune Company, Cox Enterprises, and Bonnier Corporation.

    Ellen is a dedicated wife and mother of two elementary-age children. Her volunteer leadership spans numerous nonprofit organizations, and since 2008, she has served on the Board of Directors for the Central Florida Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. A graduate of the University of Florida with a B.S. in advertising and a minor in marketing, she holds multiple training certificates from the Edyth Bush Institute for Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership.

  • A passionate and dedicated Development Director with a robust background in nonprofit program management, Grace holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Rollins College and a Master of Public Policy in Environmental Policy from Oregon State University. Grace’s journey into the nonprofit world began with AmeriCorps, where she excelled as a Habitat for Humanity Family Services Coordinator, quickly rising through the ranks due to her exceptional dedication and skills.

    With a strong commitment to making a positive impact, Grace has consistently sought opportunities to contribute to causes that advance social welfare. Her expertise in fund development, strategic communications, and program management has made her an invaluable asset to every organization she’s been a part of.

    Outside of her professional life, Grace’s passion for animal rescue is evident in her home, where she cares for a dog named Jupiter, a cat, and two guinea pigs who think they’re dogs. When she’s not busy advocating for social causes, you can find her in the kitchen, crafting delicious vegan dishes. Grace’s combination of professional competence and personal passions makes her a force for good in every endeavor she undertakes.

  • Abigail is a dynamo of leadership and compassion, bringing over six years of experience to our team with a flair for making things run smoothly. From streamlining processes to supercharging team performance, she’s the go-to person for getting things done efficiently and effectively.

    But Abigail's talents don't stop at the office door. She’s a passionate advocate for mental health, dedicating her free time to supporting community organizations that make a real difference in the lives of those affected by serious mental illness. Her dedication is driven by a deep belief that mental health deserves as much care and attention as physical health.

    When she’s not leading teams or championing causes, Abigail is out making memories with her two adventurous little ones, aged 3 and 6. Whether it’s exploring the great outdoors or finding fun in everyday moments, she’s all about creating joy and lasting memories for her family.
